Project Overview

The Pasfield Lake Project is Uranium One’s flagship Canadian uranium exploration asset, encompassing approximately 4,400 hectares in Saskatchewan’s eastern Athabasca Basin, widely recognized as the world’s premier jurisdiction for high-grade uranium discoveries. Strategically located approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Cameco’s Cigar Lake Mine, the project occupies a highly prospective geological setting where favourable basement rocks, major regional fault systems, and historical exploration results combine to create an exceptional exploration opportunity.

Historical work completed by previous operators has generated an extensive technical database, including airborne geophysical surveys, Audio Magnetotelluric (AMT) surveys, gravity surveys, geochemistry, and diamond drilling. This comprehensive dataset provides Uranium One with a strong foundation to apply modern exploration techniques and advanced targeting methods in the search for a significant uranium discovery.

HISTORY

Pasfield Lake has benefited from several exploration campaigns conducted by Triex Minerals and earlier operators, who recognized the property’s favourable geological setting within the Athabasca Basin. Their work focused on identifying the structural and geological conditions associated with unconformity-related uranium deposits.

Exploration programs included regional airborne VTEM surveys, detailed gravity and magnetic surveys, Audio Magnetotelluric (AMT) surveys, geochemical sampling, and diamond drilling. Historical drilling confirmed the presence of a large hydrothermal system, intersecting chlorite alteration, structural faulting, uranium pathfinder elements, and elevated radioactivity above the unconformity—all important indicators commonly associated with major Athabasca uranium deposits.

While these historical results require modern verification, they provide compelling evidence that the geological processes responsible for forming high-grade uranium mineralization were active on the property.

Recent Work & Findings

Historical exploration has identified multiple independent exploration vectors that converge across several target areas on the property. Airborne electromagnetic surveys outlined conductive graphitic horizons, while magnetic and gravity surveys defined major structural corridors interpreted to extend beneath the Athabasca sandstone.
Diamond drilling encountered elevated radioactivity of up to 600 counts per second over a 40-metre interval above the unconformity, uranium mineralization immediately above the unconformity, strong chlorite alteration within basement fault zones, and anomalous uranium pathfinder geochemistry. Collectively, these results demonstrate that the hydrothermal system responsible for transporting uranium-bearing fluids was active across the property.
